Commenting Guidelines
Since I’ve changed the site to make it more interactive with my visitors, I expect people to comment on posts that I make, posts that others make and on the stories submitted by my visitors. I do have a few rules in place to make visits to this site pleasant for everyone since I get a large amount of traffic to my site. I am moderating comments. For those who decide to disregard these rules, your comment post will not be approved to appear on the site.
The Rules:
This site is for the general public. No sexually explicit content allowed, no religion, politics, no flaming, swearing, vulgarity in any form, spam, abusive comments, html code, links to gambling, porn, pirating websites, or any other inappropriate website (links will be checked during moderation). If you’re completely off-topic, controversial or inflammatory or are just trying to start a fight by saying things to get other visitors to this site emotionally upset. I’ll end this behavior quickly. You are not welcome here if that’s how you choose to behave. Anyone who repeatedly does any of these things will be banned from posting to the site and reported.
I’m not requiring registration to post a comment at this time. However, if things get out of control in the future, only registered users will be allowed to comment.
Your comments should be on topic and related to the article or post that you’re commenting on.
If you’re posting a comment, make sure you have something to say that is more than one or two words. Short posts will not make it through moderation. Do not use text talk abbreviations in your comments. Be intelligent and write well. ;-) We’re not chatting, IM’ing or texting each other from a cell phone but are sharing ideas and experiences using correct English.
I reserve the right to delete any comments within moderation that I feel doesn’t make sense as related to a topic, that doesn’t follow these rules, is incoherent or in all uppercase lettering (no need to shout you know), is spam or a promotional posts and basically anything that is inappropriate as I see fit. I also reserve the right to edit posts for spelling, grammar etc before allowing it to post to my website.
People who have decided to open up and share their experiences deserve respect. Psychic, paranormal, spiritual and any other metaphysical topic is of a sensitive nature because it is not accepted my most people in society even though the numbers are growing. If you’re skeptical, that’s fine as long as you present your case in a respectful and considerate manner, but don’t put someone else down or belittle them because you disagree with their beliefs. Those types of comments aren’t allowed.
People who are willing to share their experiences often times like to know what others think about the situation. Has someone else gone through the same thing? How did they deal with it? By discussing these topics we can help one another gain clearer understanding of things that we may not understand. So, be courteous and kind when you comment, even if you disagree.
If you’re going to comment on a posted true experience, please do not comment on a completely different topic or write up a new story about something that happened to you. If you would like to have had an experience you’d like to share and would like it considered for inclusion on this site, fill out the form under Submit Your Experience instead of posting it in the comments section of another person’s experience.
Read previous posts before you post your comment. If you have a question about the experience, ask it in the comment section instead of asking the person to email you and putting your email in the comments section. I won’t approve those types of posts.
Do not copy and paste articles from other websites here. That’s infringing upon someone else’s copyright and will not be allowed.
Comment posts are the opinion of the poster. Melissa Alvarez doesn’t necessarily agree with, endorse or approve of the opinions expressed in the comments section of this site. When you post on apsychichaven.com you grant perpetual non-exclusive rights for your posted material to be republished in any form. Posts will not be deleted once posted and approved by moderation.
